Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme Revenue Compliance
The following information is applicable to all employers who availed of the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme (‘TWSS’) between 26 March and 31 August this year.
TWSS csv file – due by 31 October
Any employer who availed of the scheme must file a ‘TWSS Rec’ CSV file with Revenue by 31 October. Your payroll software package should be able to generate this file and you can upload it through your Revenue Online Services (‘ROS’) account.
On receipt of the file Revenue will complete a reconciliation process in respect of the subsidy received which may result in a balance owing to or from Revenue. They have not indicated any timeline for this process.
If the 31 October deadline is not met Revenue may seek to have the full amount of the subsidy repaid.
TWSS compliance check – due five days from Revenue request
Revenue is in the process of contacting all employers who availed of the TWSS to ensure that those employers both met the eligibility requirements and operated the scheme correctly.
Revenue will contact you via your ROS inbox – please ensure that you have access to this and that it is carefully monitored.
Please note that we may not receive a copy of the Revenue letter, and that replies are due five days from receipt.
